Password generator
Runs on your deviceA different password for each account
A random password is most useful when it is unique to one account. Reusing the same password means a problem at one service can affect another. This generator creates a fresh string on request and does not keep a password history. Use a password manager to remember the result rather than changing a random password into a familiar pattern you already use elsewhere.
What the switches do
You can include lowercase letters, uppercase letters, digits, and a defined set of punctuation symbols. The generator uses the browser’s cryptographic random source. It rejects biased random draws and only accepts a finished password when it contains at least one character from every selected group. The default is 20 characters. This page does not provide a strength score or claim that one generated password guarantees account security.
Handle the result with care
A generated password is visible on the page until you regenerate it or leave. The copy button places it on your system clipboard, where other applications or clipboard history may retain it. Keep your screen and device private and do not paste it into a chat or untrusted form. Clearing the page cannot clear other apps’ clipboard histories. Follow the receiving service’s requirements and enable its additional account protections where available.

Good questions.
Does Daykit save my passwords?
No. Passwords are generated in the current page and are not submitted to a Daykit server. The page does not save them to browser storage.
Why does a service reject my password?
Some services restrict length or punctuation. Match its stated rules using the length and character switches, then generate a new password.
Can I recover a password after closing the page?
No. There is no recovery or history. Save it in a trusted password manager before leaving.
