A little transparency

Scope & limitations

What the tools calculate, what they assume, and what a result cannot establish.

Practical utilities, with a defined scope

Daykit supplies general-purpose calculations and transformations based on user inputs. It does not know the full context in which a result will be used. Treat the method and input requirements as part of the result, and independently verify anything with significant consequences.

Numerical and time assumptions

Most numerical tools use browser floating-point arithmetic and round only for display. The fraction tool keeps an exact integer fraction but shows an approximate decimal. Date counting uses calendar-day conventions, and simple clock duration assumes a fixed 24-hour day. No public-holiday calendar, local timezone transition, tax rule, payroll policy, or institutional grade boundary is inferred.

Text, data, and file assumptions

Word segmentation and sentence counting can differ between applications. CSV conversion keeps fields as strings; JSON formatting validates syntax rather than a destination schema. Images are browser-decoded and exported as still raster files. A sampled color is one pixel, and a solid-color contrast calculation is only one accessibility check.

Security and randomness

The password and random tools use the browser’s cryptographic random source, but no page can guarantee the security of your device, clipboard, receiving account, or application. A UUID is an identifier, not authorization. A SHA-256 match is useful only in the context of a trusted expected value. A casual random picker has no independent audit trail.

Advertising and search outcomes

No template, tool count, article count, or policy-page bundle can guarantee advertising approval, search visibility, or revenue. Those outcomes depend on the actual public deployment, maintained content, visitor experience, policy compliance, and the relevant platform’s own review. No such approval has been claimed for this site.
