From the label to the final price

A percentage discount removes part of the original price. For an item priced at 200 with a 15% discount, the saving is 200 × 0.15 = 30. The sale price is 200 − 30 = 170. If you buy three identical items, the original total is 600, the savings are 90, and the discounted total is 510. You can use any currency as long as all amounts use the same currency.

Two discounts are usually sequential

A 20% discount followed by another 10% discount is not a 30% discount. Starting at 100, the first discount leaves 80. The second removes 10% of 80, leaving 72: a total reduction of 28%. This calculator applies one discount. To check stacked offers, calculate the first sale price, then use that price as the starting value for the second discount.

Know what the total includes

The result excludes tax, shipping, service fees, vouchers, and other adjustments. It assumes the same original price and discount apply to every item. Prices are displayed to two decimal places, while the calculation keeps intermediate precision. A retailer may round each item before multiplying or use another permitted rounding method, so the checkout total can differ slightly. Confirm the payable amount before buying.

Good questions.

Does this work in Ghana cedis?

Yes. The calculation is currency independent. Enter cedi amounts, dollar amounts, or another currency consistently. No exchange-rate conversion is performed.

Are taxes included?

No. The calculator only applies the discount to the original price. Add any tax, delivery cost, or checkout fees separately.

Can I calculate a free item?

A 100% discount gives a zero sale price. The original price can also be zero. Quantity must be a positive whole number.
